Tessa Osborne Pro

Tessa Osborne is a Chinese-born adopted American who grew up on the west side of Michigan. She is an up-and-coming filmmaker now based in Lansing, Michigan. In her younger years, she worked closely with painting and drawing through summer classes at Kendall College Art and Design. Film and art have always had a gravitational pull on her, and she continued to pursue them as her career for her undergraduate degree.

She graduated from Michigan State University in 2021 with a Journalism degree and minor in Documentary Production. Since graduating Osborne has been working as a photographer/editor at an NBC affiliate station in Lansing. Outside of her work in the news, Tessa has pioneered her own production company, alongside good friends, called Rice Pictures. She has won a Flint Youth Film Festival Award, AP Investigative Journalism Award, and a select showing at The National Film Festival for Talented Youth.
