I am an anthropologist, journalist, editor, and filmmaker from Oregon. Currently an MA student in folklore at Indiana University Bloomington, I also hold a BA in anthropology from the University of Oregon, where I minored in history and Latin American studies. I currently hold editorial positions with the Journal of Folklore Research, the Modern Insurgent, Global Voices, and the Diverse Environmentalisms Research Team.

My work sits at the intersection of scholarship, activism, and media. I strive to tell engaging stories about underreported people and places through incisive research and creative endeavors while making a positive difference in the lives of those I work with. Whether at a keyboard or behind a camera, at home or in the field, I'm always looking for the next chance to apply my skills to creative, investigative, and impactful ends.
