Bio

iLan Azoulai is a multifaceted artist, filmmaker, photographer, musician, spiritual life coach and sound healer who has woven his diverse skills and interests into a transformative journey. Born into a Moroccan family in what is now Tel Aviv’s red-light district, yet having lived in the United States for over three decades, first in Boston, where he attended the Berklee College of Music, and later in Los Angeles, where he now resides, his background bridges the divide between two vastly different worlds. A skilled cinematographer, director and editor, iLan has captured the essence of narratives ranging from the life of a child prodigy chef to the intimate worldview of a beekeeper to his now finished documentary film “Holy Ghetto”. His own musical talents, showcased in compositions for film and theater, and an album released in Israel, reflect his lifelong interest in interweaving composition and mysticism. Beyond filmmaking, iLan serves as a spiritual guide, employing shamanic and Kabbalah teachings to facilitate journeys of personal transformation.
