Bio

A Colombian filmmaker graduating from UNILA (Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana), located in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Her area of research aims to portray, utilizing the documentary film, the traces of the Crypto-Jewish heritage in Latin America. She also studied theater and dramaturgy in Buenos Aires, Argentina as well as acting & directing in film at INCINE University of Quito, Ecuador. She is a practitioner of a somatic education technique called Feldenkrais, which has brought her excellent results, especially enhancing her direction of actors. Presently, she is engaged in the study of Ladino language with the Oxford School of Rare Languages, which is part of Oxford University’s Center for the Hebrew and Jewish studies.

Ms. Lindarte is a fervent cinephile and curator of Sephardic and Mizrahi cinema, with a special interest in analyzing the Boureka and post-Boureka genres, as well as Iranian Jewish cinema. Years of study, and great passion for the rich Sephardic and Mizrahi heritage, has also led her to research two dialects of Judeo-Spanish: Ladino and Haketía. She has decided to film the traces of these languages, in their respective diasporas. This is a journey that starts in Al-Andalus peninsula, passes through the countries of the former Ottoman Empire, until finally crossing the Atlantic to North America, South America and the Caribbean Islands. Diana is the founder of LindartPR, a Music Marketing Agency with a neurodiversity approach.
