Remy Ryumugabe is a filmmaker, producer & visual artist from Rwanda. As a filmmaker, producer, cinematographer, or visual artist, his works have been selected and screened or exhibited in different film festivals/Galleries around the world like Dhaka independent and short film festival(Bangladesh), WNDX Festival of the moving image(Canada), the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Switzerland), Uppsala international short film festival(Sweden), Galerie Imane Farès (France), Fribourg International Film Festival (Switzerland), Locarno International film festival (Switzerland), BFI London Film festival (UK), Concorto Film festival(Italy) among others… and his latest two short films (one that he wrote and directed and another that he produced) just world-premiered in the International Competition of the 68th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (Germany).

He’s the co-founder of KIRURI MFN, an independent production company based in Kigali. He is also the co-initiator and curator of 250 Film Experiment Cine-Club, a cine club based in Kigali, Rwanda.
