- Synopsis
Indigo is a witness of the presence of these cultures before their extinction, a reflection on the life, a reflection on our own identity. The film and photography are two splendid supports to leave prints for our future generations and to find a connection with our old Occidental cultures. Because of them we can learn the truth about ourselves. It is impossible to understand the present and to imagine the future without exploring our past as well as returning to our roots.
Indigo also shows, through the life of these people, the way in which the government respects the ethnic minorities. China and the Viêtnam initially, which protect these minorities because they represent an asset for the tourism instead of Laos then, which off-set them or drive out to sell their grounds to foreign investors; Myanmar, which offers only one dubious future to its minorities of where ethnic people are mainly Christian; Thailand finally, which always refuses its nationality, their rights.- Treatment
