Synopsis

God, Church, Pills and Condoms is a documentary about the controversial debate over the passing of the reproductive health care bill in the Philippines. The Philippines is predominantly Catholic and it has become a contentious social issue from religious groups, non-government organizations and people from all walks of life. The documentary aims to to find out why hearts and minds of Filipinos are so split over this basic piece of legislation. In the Philippines, the use of condoms and pills are frowned upon and sex education in schools a hotly debated topic. Teenage pregnancies and stillbirth take their toll among young mothers. 'The Truth about the RH Bill' proposes drastic changes in the way health care and family planning support is provided in the Philippines.
