Iman, Don't Look Behind highlights Iman Mallah, a Palestinian-American struggling to deal with the murder of her husband. After fleeing the Gulf War in 1990 to pursue the American dream in Rocky Mount, NC, Muhammed Mallah was murdered while operating a grocery store he opened to support his family. The film explores the challenges Iman faced rebuilding her life and reopening the store.
