Little Acorn
Overview
- Synopsis
In 1997, Susan and her team began filming the first graduating class of the Special Music School of America, New York City’s first public elementary school, dedicated to music and modeled after elite Russian conservatories. Over three years, Susan followed eight young students from kindergarten to third grade. Now, nearly three decades later, Susan is reconnecting with these students, currently in their 30s, to reflect on how early, intense musical training shaped their lives.
