Overview
- Synopsis
The Death Positive movement believes that honest and open discussions about death are essential for a truly healthy society. Decline and death are a tragic but inevitable part of being alive. However, our culture of denial often makes both coping with mortality and the mourning of our losses even more difficult and painful than they need to be. This “Death Positive Project" consists of three multimedia pieces that use storytelling and art to stimulate much needed conversations about death, grieving, and loss:
“Terry’s Going to Die - and It’s OK” - a short documentary film - exploring how to accept and prepare for life's end.
"Don't Buy the Box" - a social media journey to discover alternatives to expensive, impersonal, and environmentally unfriendly urns and caskets.
“They Live in Other Ways” - a multimedia exploration of how loved ones live on, told through collage art and social media.- Stage
