- Synopsis
The women who rode the Tour de France FĂ©minin from 1984 to 1989 were the "hidden figures" of cycling. Although they rode the same heart-stopping courses as the men, they received little attention and were soon relegated to the dustbin of history. With the debut of the women's Tour de France in 2022, Uphill Climb celebrates these 1980s trailblazers alongside their contemporaries as they continue the uphill climb for equity in sports. Filmed from Colorado to France, Uphill Climb takes viewers behind the scenes of women's professional cycling featuring never before footage and photos. The women cyclists of the 1980s women set the stage for the women riders and racers of the present day and are inspirations for all athletes.
