Synopsis

A Wilderness of Mirrors is a feature film about extremely prolific singer/songwriter/artist Paul K, who's Book of Job-inspired 'rock opera' ("A Wilderness of Mirrors" - Alias Records, 1998) about a farmer and national guardsman who loses everything, mind included, contributes both the film's title and it's underlying structure.

The movie explores the consequences of Paul's radical life choices and reveals startling, self-fulfilling parallels to his fictional work. Any doubt that an artist might somehow be separate from his creation is summarily dashed.

The film tackles ideas of love, identity, loyalty, success vs. failure, hero-worship, unhealthy habits, certainty of death, and the creative force that somehow glues it all together. A force that on the one hand offers a powerful order to the confusion of life, yet on the other hand extracts a tremendous and unforgiving toll on its vessel, the artist himself.
