- Synopsis
At a Buddhist temple in rural Cambodia, a man who resided there for over a decade is arrested for
sexually abusing at least 17 boys. Investigators track down victims Se Bros, a high schooler who was
first to report the abuse, and Monk Ry, who lived together with the abuser at the temple. As Bros and
Ry contemplate on whether to testify in court, the chief monk reveals that the monks knew about the
abuse all along. Gateless explores how a Buddhist temple intended for the pursuit of peace and tolerance can become a place where children are violated.- Stage
