As a symbol, the Cuban flag is woven with a profound meaning about the concept of humanity, the society the Cuban people have built amidst incredible sacrifices. This flag appears in a multitude of artistic impressions such as paintings, murals, sculptures, upholstery, and graffiti, each denoting Cubans’ feelings for their flag. For that reason, it represents a unique social unity, a common bond among fellow residents and a love and pride in their country.
The “The Invisible Veil -- Colors in Harmony” directs three main elements that make up the narrative structure, and through which, the story develops. These elements are the threads containing the manufacture and exhibition of the Cuban flag; the art that frames this symbol, and the conversations with artists or ordinary citizens who speak about the deep emotions the flag generates and what it means for today’s society.
