- Synopsis
It's three o'clock at Lafayette Elementary in Oakland, CA. The bell rings and children run for the exit to baseball fields and playgrounds. But a select few, under the tutelage of school disciplinarian Mr. Mack, are cooking up a storm. The third, fourth and fifth graders prepare meals at breakneck speed and serve them at a nearby senior center. Amidst the flurry of knives and hot plates these 'Junior Iron Chefs' learn how to work together and stay focused.
To survive in 'Mr. Mack's Kitchen' you need respect and discipline. Can the children of Lafayette Elementary take the heat?
